The red schoolhouse will be the main building for the classes and events. As the name implies, it is going to be themed to an old-world little red schoolhouse. This will be the first building to be built and set up. Before it is ready to open, community outreach and participation will be pivotal in getting our mission to the community.

This will be the basic inspiration for the schoolhouse aesthetic of the building.
Exterior
The point of the cathedral ceiling where the window is will be replaced with the sign/logo. A barn quilt.
The door will most likely be a solid double door instead of the glass one pictured so that I can make the door way wider.
Front Porch
The front porch will have wooden raised beds acting as a “fence” to create an entry way.
The ceiling of the porch will be hain’t blue, paying homage to the southern tradition of hain’t ceilings.
Back Yard
The back door at the kitchen will lead to a patio and a pathway – slash – court yard that the other buildings as they are erected. As well as the different gardens. The community garden will be closest to the schoolhouse.

Interior
Great Room/Kitchen – Main Classroom Area
The kitchen will be more of a kitchenette, not made to cook in it but have places to have prepackaged snacks and goods for during events and classes.
This area will be inspired by old red schoolhouses of years gone by with educational posters, knickknacks, and learning toys.

Bedroom – Rentable Workspace
Ideally, this room will be completely selfish. In that, I will write a contract to fund the non-profit with my current for profit business. There in, renting this room as my workshop. But if that doesn’t happen, it can be rented out to other creatives to work on their projects. Or it can be used as storage for craft supplies, tables and chairs.
Bathroom
What can I say, indoor plumbing is important.
